Cats
I think I'm in love. With cats that is. Not that I've been infected by the strong feelings a colleague of mine has for them. It's just that I've always wanted to have one. Unfortunately, HDB doesn't allow cats. Neither does my parents. They strongly disapprove against anything furry. Stating the time spent and not to forget, their demise.
It's not cheap to own any pets. The food and things are expensive.
These cats and kittens look so cute that I really feel like adopting them. It's too many so maybe 1 or 2 shall do. I like cats because of their independence. I don't have to teach them anything. They simply learn on their own. Or so I thought. They have to be toilet trained as they will be living in domestic households not in the wild whereby they can just do their business as and when they like.
Maybe one day, I will have my own cat. A dog would be nice too. If I get both, they ought to be able to get along with each other.

hi charlotte, i have a friend who not only loves cats, but is a member of the cat welfare society. i heard from my friend that you can easily adopt a cat from them, and you have a variety to choose from. in fact, he showed them to me before, and most of them were just kittens. if you get the green light from your parents, just let me know so i can get more details for you.
but on hindsight, i have to agree with your parents. cats do shed hair and no matter how cute they are, i still have yet to get used to loose strands of fur all over the place. and having a meal in a room of cats give me a shiver sometimes when i think about the hair floating around in the air, haha.
i just went pasir ris with my friend earlier to look at the dogs at the pet farms. it's amazing how many dog lovers there are, and the variety of dogs there are out there too. but they are ex, around $600-$800+ each depending on the gender, species and age.
if the cats/dogs are not too big (bigger pets need more livings space) and they do not give your neighbours sleepless nights with their noises, and assuming your parents are agreeable to having them around, i dont see why not.

Fur that have been shed floating around can be *gasp* However, human have hair lying around too. So we can't blame the cats or dogs or whichever pet that did that.
Sounds like u're living with some pet. Or ur friends' pets?
